Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. I have been teaching computer technology at Sour Lake Elementary since 2006 and have been in the Hardin-Jefferson school district since 1995. Before coming to SLE I taught at Henderson Middle School for eleven years. While at Henderson I taught a variety of subjects, including Public Speaking, Texas History, Video Technology, and Computer Applications. Since I began here at SLE, I have been teaching kindergarten through 5th grade computer classes. I also assist Mrs. Null in technology maintenance and teacher technology support. On Fridays, I completely change rolls from technology to coaches' assistant in P.E.

My educational background includes a bachelor of science degree in deaf education and a master's degree in audiology. After working as an audiologist for 13 years, I decided to make a career change in 1994 and have been a public school teacher ever since.
When I am not teaching, I love to travel. My furthest destination has been to Batroun, Lebanon, a small town on the Mediterranean Sea where my mother grew up. During the summers, and as often as I can during the school year, I spend much of my time at my happy place, Crystal Beach!

I enjoy spending the rest of my time with my family. I am the proud grandmother of Mila (pronounced "meela"), my son's daughter, and George, my daughters baby. Needless to say, many of my weekends and summertime days are spent in Austin with my children and grandchildren!

I look forward to a new school year teaching technology to your children. Have a wonderful year at SLE!
